FIRST STEPS
Set up RunLine
You handle your account and import on a phone or computer. For the headset, you need a Meta Quest 3 or Quest 3S. The first time you open RunLine in the headset, it explains the hand controls.
No headset yet? Create an account and load your course in your browser. You only need the headset later.
-
Install
- Create a RunLine account on getrunline.app and sign in.
- Install RunLine from the Meta Horizon Store. Open this link on your phone or PC:
RunLine on the Meta Horizon Store
Sign in there with the Meta account you use on your headset.
Quest 2 and Quest Pro are not supported. The FAQ explains why. New to Quest? The Quest basics page links to Meta's official setup guides.
-
Pair your headset
- On your phone or PC, open getrunline.app/pair and sign in with your RunLine account.
- Start RunLine on your headset and look at the QR code on your phone or computer.
- If the headset shows a pairing code instead, enter it on the same page.
You do not need to enter your password in the headset to pair it.
-
Load and position a course
When you first open RunLine, the tutorial shows you these steps:
- Put the controllers down. You control RunLine with your hands.
- Turn your left palm towards you. That opens the hand menu.
- Load a course. Use your right index finger to select a course, then tap “Load”.
- Place it. Open “Position” at the bottom of the menu and tap “Place”. The course appears in front of you.
- Grab it with both hands. Move and rotate the course into position on your field. “90° left” and “90° right” under “Position” turn it by a quarter turn.
- Set the floor height. Open “Position”, then “Floor”, to adjust the course height.
- Lock it. Touch and hold “Lock” briefly. The course then stays in place.
To use a button in the hand menu, touch and hold it briefly until the ring fills.
Moved the course by accident? Tap “Undo” at the bottom right of the menu to restore its previous position. “Redo” reapplies the change.
When you open RunLine, it shows the last course you loaded, so you do not have to load it every time.
For help, tap the lifebuoy in the hand menu. You can restart the tutorial, look up the gestures or load the demo course. “Outdoors: find your course again” explains what helps outdoors.
Open “Tools” and tap Dog to start a virtual Border Collie that runs your course path. See the Dogmode guide for instructions.
Add your own courses
Link your Smarter Agility Pro account to sync your designs to RunLine. You can then load them on your Quest.
You can also import an image or a CRCD4 file (.agl) with the plan import in your browser. Use a plan image from Smarter Agility, as an image file or a screenshot. RunLine can't read photos of printouts. Check the result and select “Add course”. In the headset, touch and hold “Sync” until the ring is full. Your course will appear in the list. You need the current app from the Meta Horizon Store. The page CRCD4 import and export explains what RunLine takes from CRCD4 files.
