CRCD4
CRCD4 import and export
CRCD4 files (.agl) come from Clean Run Course Designer 4. This page explains what RunLine takes from them, what the preview shows, how to download a course as a CRCD4 file and how to transfer it to Smarter Agility.
Import a CRCD4 file
I tested the import with Clean Run Course Designer 4.34. Images and CRCD4 files use the same upload field under Load a course, and RunLine detects the file type itself. On a computer, you can also drop files into the field or paste copied files if your browser supports it. “Paste image from clipboard” works for images only and is also available on your phone.
You can import CRCD4 plans from any rule set. RunLine recognises AKC, FCI and Hoopers. Other agility rule sets, for example UKI, USDAA, NADAC or UKC, are imported as standard agility. From Hoopers plans, RunLine imports hoops, gates and barrels.
Anything RunLine cannot import is listed as a warning before you add the course: obstacles with unusable dimensions, unknown obstacles and extra data.
Tunnel paths can be at most 20 m per tunnel and 120 m in total per file, measured along their control points. RunLine rejects longer paths on import. Simplify the paths in CRCD. Changing the length value alone will not help.
Browser preview and display on Quest
The browser preview includes obstacle variants, numbers, text, colours and paths from the file, including text formatting. Hoops, gates and barrels use simplified symbols. For brush jumps and for formatting or colour values RunLine does not know, the preview stays incomplete, and a warning explains why.
On Quest, RunLine uses its own obstacle models and builds the path from the numbers. Free text and print formatting appear only in the browser preview, not on Quest.
If text, colours or paths are missing from the preview of an older import, import the .agl file again.
Download as a CRCD4 file
Download a course as a CRCD4 file (.agl) from the Courses page in your account, Hoopers courses included. If the course has several number sets, you pick one for the export.
CRCD and Smarter Agility draw some obstacles differently. Chutes and Hoopers tunnels are exported as straight tunnels with their set length.
For courses from Smarter Agility, the export keeps the FCI or AKC rule set. If the rule set is missing, the export uses FCI and tells you in a warning. I cannot save other rule sets as a CRCD4 file yet. If the course follows FCI or AKC rules, choose that rule set in Smarter Agility.
If a course contains content RunLine does not know, export is not possible. CRCD4 uses the same long jump length and number of boards throughout a course, so RunLine cannot directly export a course with different long jump settings.
Transfer to Smarter Agility
If you linked Smarter Agility with your password, you can transfer local courses to Smarter Agility after confirming. The original import stays in RunLine and Smarter Agility gets a separate copy. You can edit or delete either one independently. You can still transfer or delete a local course when no preview is available.
If RunLine cannot confirm the transfer, it blocks another transfer of that course. Check in Smarter Agility first whether it arrived, and email me at mail@getrunline.app if you need help.
